Engineer, Rocket Scientist and former U.S. Air Force officer specializing in Space systems, Bruce becomes the latest ‘high-profile’ AV appointment for PPDS, as the company continues to invest in its North America team and take its multimarket digital signage solution strategy to new heights.
ATLANTA – PPDS, the exclusive global rights to Philips Professional Displays, is excited to announce the appointment of highly experienced and highly skilled AV professional, Bruce Wyrwitzke, as its new Director, Digital Signage Sales.
Accelerating PPDS’ growth strategy and ambitions in North America, Bruce is the latest high-profile appointment to join the company this year, following the additions of Beth Donow (Manager, Supply Chain), Scott Adams (Director, Hospitality) and Osvaldo Velarde (Product Manager), among others.
Based in Monument, CO (just north of Colorado Springs), Bruce joins PPDS equipped with almost 20-years of pro AV experience, having worked for some of the world’s leading technology brands, during a successful and highly captivating career.
Career milestones
Highlights of his career include tenures as National Sales Manager for ASUS North America (6.5 years) and, prior to that, National Account Manager at Planar Systems (7.5 years) gaining specialists product, sales, and distribution knowledge across a variety of display technologies for specific markets. His focus areas include dvLED & LCD Video Walls, Large Format Displays, Desk Top Monitors, Touch Screens, among other things.
Intriguingly, before joining the AV community, Bruce – a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Portland, Executive MBA from Colorado State University and a qualified Rocket Scientist – specialized in the manufacturing, launch, and on-orbit testing of Defense Satellite Communications System (DSCS) satellites for the U.S. Air Force. Working as the MILSATCOM (Military Satellite Communications) Orbital Operations Manager, his role saw him head-up a 150-member team for all Launch and Early Orbit (LEO) operations of the third generation Defense Satellite Communication System satellites, and chairing quarterly conference between Air Force, Army and other Department of Defence agencies.

According to market forecasts, demand for digital signage solutions continues to rise substantially, with a market value projected to reach $27.8 billion globally by 2026 and $9.2 billion in North America during the same period.
