The healthcare provider has recently agreed with Adelaide-based healthcare informatics firm, Alcidion Group, to incorporate the company’s latest software module, Bed Board, in a new technology overhaul project. The new University of Canberra Public Hospital will be the pilot site to get the technological implementation, with the alternative for future application at The Canberra Hospital. Notably, the company will implement Patientrack’s new Bed Board module that will form part of the overall Electronic Patient Journey Board solution, consisting of Smartpage, Miya Flow and Patientrack.
The Patientracks Bed Board module offers real-time patient data by replacing the patient’s bedside whiteboard, which presently needs manually written notes from a nurse or clinician, with an electronic whiteboard or wall-mounted tablet. The board will also showcase real-time patient information from multiple data feeds straight to the bedside, with the intent of improving the patient safety & plummeting the risk of clinician error from physical whiteboard exercise.
The Bed Board module exhibits demographics to aid in Positive Patient Identification, estimated date of discharge, patient location, fall risk status, dietary requirements, and mobility information.
This implementation marks the first health provider to use Alcidion’s complete end-to-end product suite.
